Counterfeits are fake products which looks like original but produced without the consent of the original brand. They look just like the real branded product, i.e., similar packaging, logo, and even the look and feel of the products, meant to fool a consumer into thinking they're buying a genuine product. Most of these counterfeit products have substandard quality, reliability, and safety standards, which could result in harming consumers and insidiously damage brand reputation. Businesses lose revenue, trusts get shaken, and customers end up receiving something far from their expectations. In basic terminology, counterfeits are dishonest copies that claim to be original and cause several problems for brands and buyers in one way or another.
